"First Screening," (2019) uses a mixed metal casting of iron and copper to trigger Bronze Disease, addressing the long-term effects of Scoliosis.

Stages of this project: Life Casting, plaster cast, wax painting then removing those wax pieces to cast in copper, reattaching copper pieces, creating a 500lb sand mold with inlaid copper pieces, preheating mold, casting the final piece in iron at a community iron pour, and finally de-gating and cleaning the piece. "First Screening" is left unsealed with no intentional patina in order to encourage decay.
